All-in-one network audio bridge adds IP functionality to analog systems
Axis Communications announces a standalone network audio bridge designed to connect and combine analog and network audio systems or devices. This new product, AXIS C8110 replaces AXIS C8033. With the same feature set, form factor, and size it offers improved performance for use cases with a live speech in low latency requirements.
This versatile audio bridge offers support for hybrid solutions, making it possible to keep existing analog systems while also adding all the benefits of network audio. The built-in AXIS Audio Manager Edge application allows for efficient management and control of audio systems and includes functionalities such as zone management, content prioritization, and scheduling of content. Based on open standards, it offers easy integration. For instance, a network video system enables announcements to be triggered by events captured on surveillance cameras. Plus, with I/O, it’s possible to connect to external buttons or relays to get even more functionality.

This intelligent hub offers a cost-efficient solution where hundreds of speakers can be connected to one, single audio bridge. It’s possible to integrate various analog audio sources with Axis network speakers making it possible to play music from cell phones, tablets, computers, a professional music streaming box, and more. Furthermore, it connects to a standard network with Power over Ethernet.
The cameras will be available through Axis distribution channels in Q1 2022.
